I wasn't raised in church. I came to faith from the outside — which means I never forgot what it felt like to need God but not feel welcome in the room where He supposedly lived.
I've been ordained since 1993 and hold a B.A. in Christian Education from Jacksonville Theological Seminary. But what shaped me most wasn't a classroom — it was watching people who genuinely loved God walk away from church hurt, tired, and spiritually hungry.
Too often pulpits preach personal preference wrapped in principles and protocols. Too often "come as you are" really means come as I prefer you to be. Beyond Sunday exists because I believe the house of God was always meant to heal, not harm.
Egos aren't welcomed here. Just eager people experiencing God in real life.
